The Chakra System: Your Inner Energy Map for Radiant Health

Let's talk about your Chakra's! The ancient chakra system is like a finely tuned orchestra within your body, where each instrument — or energy center — has its own role to play.

When all seven chakras are open, balanced, and freely spinning, they work together to create a beautiful harmony of physical vitality, emotional stability, and spiritual connection.

When a chakra slows down, gets blocked, or spins unevenly, it disrupts the harmony. This can affect our health, mood, relationships, and sense of purpose. The state of our chakras also reflects in our aura.

Understanding your chakras is like having a built-in diagnostic tool for your entire being.

Why Free-Flowing & Spinning Chakras Matter

Visualize your chakras as rotating wheels of light that serve as gateways to higher realms. When they rotate unhindered, energy (prana, chi, life force) circulates smoothly. This circulation not only supports the associated gland but also invigorates your entire energy system, enhancing your immune response, mental clarity, emotional stability, and spiritual connection.

When chakras become blocked or sluggish — through stress, trauma, limiting beliefs, or unhealed old soul memories — the associated gland can weaken, your energy drops, and life may feel like you’re moving through mud.

Restoring the spin and flow is like clearing a clogged river: suddenly, life force rushes in and everything feels alive again.

An Account of Letting Go of Past Life Trauma Stored in My Solar Plexus Chakra

I write about this profound experience in more depth in my book Awakened Soul.

In June 2003, I woke in the night to find a beautiful male figure sitting cross-legged on my bedroom floor next to my bed. He wore a white and gold robe, a white turban, and radiated a warm, loving presence. He smiled at me with his eyes, while his hands moved gently across my solar plexus in circles as I lay on my side facing him.

As I watched him, I heard him telepathically tell me that he was working on my chakras, and that I was welcome to go back to sleep, which I did. I felt no fear — only a deep familiarity. I later recognized him as the Master Kuthumi, who would go on to guide me in my mediumship development.

Shortly after, I underwent a profound experience that changed my life. One night, while lying awake on my back in bed, I witnessed my ceiling gently and gradually opening up, filling my room with a radiant white light and the most exquisite heavenly music and angelic singing.

At the same time, a golden-yellow beam of light, approximately a foot wide, descended from above and enveloped my solar plexus area. I had no idea where the beam came from.

I then saw a little boy of 3 or 4 years old curled in the fetal position slowly rise out of my solar plexus area.

The light lifted the little boy upward until he vanished from view. In the following moment, a deep, resonant masculine voice proclaimed, “It is done!” and the ceiling and my room returned to their previous state.

In that very moment, I realized — beyond any doubt — that this child was my little son, Ry, from a past life in the civil war era. I remembered he had passed away at that age due to yellow fever.

I came to understand that I was holding onto my unresolved grief and attachment to him in my solar plexus. In essence, everything was trapped or stuck in this chakra. The turbaned master beside my bed assisted me in releasing the deep grief I had carried forward, along with other unresolved pain from that lifetime experience.

This experience showed me firsthand how deeply old wounds, grief, and memories can embed themselves in our chakras, influencing not only our emotional health but our life circumstances. It also taught me how profoundly freeing it is when these energies are cleared, allowing the chakra to spin openly and restore balance to the entire system.

Here is a brief chakra clearing meditation exercise you can practice regularly to ensure your chakras are active and flowing freely:

Quick Chakra Color Flow Exercise

(1 minute per chakra — 7 minutes total)

  1. Sit comfortably with your spine straight, close your eyes, and take three deep breaths.

  2. Start at the Root Chakra. Visualize a spinning red wheel of light at the base of your spine. Let it spin in whatever direction feels natural to you — there is no right or wrong. One direction is releasing; the other is receiving. Trust your body’s wisdom.

  3. Move upward:

    • Sacral: Orange wheel under your navel.

    • Solar Plexus: Yellow wheel in your upper belly.

    • Heart: Green wheel in your chest.

    • Throat: Blue wheel at your throat.

    • Third Eye: Indigo wheel between your brows.

    • Crown: Violet or white light at the top of your head.

  4. For a deeper, more profound experience, chant the mantra that corresponds to each chakra as you visualize it:

    • Root – LAM

    • Sacral – VAM

    • Solar Plexus – RAM

    • Heart – YAM

    • Throat – HAM

    • Third Eye – AUM

    • Crown – AHH

  5. When done, imagine all seven wheels spinning together in perfect harmony, energy flowing from root to crown.

  6. Open your eyes and notice how much lighter, clearer, and more centered you feel.

Balancing your chakras is not a one-time fix — it’s a practice. The more often you tune your inner wheels, the more resilient, vibrant, and radiant you become in every aspect of your life.
